We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

How do we store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information?

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Chasing the Sun does not make decisions based on automated processing that can have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems without human involvement (for example, an employee of Chasing the Sun).

Chasing the Sun does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. ​

Viewing, modifying or deleting data

You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Chasing the Sun, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have of you in a computer file to you or another organization you have named.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@chasethesunwithme.com.

To ensure the request was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, please black out your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.

We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

Chasing the Sun would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
